It saddens me to report that Veith passed away on February 15, 2005. He was with Dances With Hooves for the better part of 20 years, and he will be missed.

Veith, son of the late Volturno, Olympic silver medalist in Eventing, started his career in Germany as a 3-day horse. He was trained to Grand Prix Dressage before retiring to his role as baby sitter.

He taught me more about dressage and training horses than any one instructor. My only regret is that I didn't get him as a baby instead of in his early teens.

We miss you, Veith! This was my once in a lifetime horse. I wouldn't change a minute of our time together.

We lost Black Horse Gap Nike to Cancer summer of 2008. Nike was a high energy velcro Aussie, titled in Agility and accomplished Frisbee Dog. Nike, you were loved and will be missed. You can't be replaced, but we plan on adopting an Aussie in need of Rescue in your name. We know you would approve!
